If you can give a gift of money every donation we receive goes to the cats and kittens in our care.

You can donate any sum of money through the donate button below. All monies received go directly to help with necessary veterinary care.  For example to get a cat neutered, €43.00 covers the cost.  (why does a cat need to be neutered).

Other ways to help

        - Could you host a coffee morning for your friends and neighbours?

        - Could you help with our street collections, or other fundraising activities ?

        - Could you run the Ladies' mini marathon for us in June and or September ?

All and any fund-raising help will be most gratefully received.

Likewise If you can help us by giving us your time we are looking for people to volunteer for the following:

  • Fosterers - Need to care for cats and kittens.
  • Administrators - Help out with the paperwork (bill paying, co-ordination, fundraising etc.)
  • Adoption facilitators - Collect cats for adoption, visit home and assess whether the cat will be happy & safe.

Legacy

When making a will it is advisable to seek the professional help of a solicitor. She/he draws up your will and advises on the best way for you to divide your estate. There are numerous ways to bequeath money. The most straightforward way to donate is via 'A Pecuniary Bequest'. This is a gift of a specified amount of money.

Calling all coin collectors.

A big thank you to Kate Lyons who sent us £100 old Irish punts as a contribution October 2009. Also recently we benefited from two anonymous generous people who donated the contents of their coin jars to us. We depend on all contributions small and large so we would love to hear from anybody who would like to donate their "coppers". We are delighted to collect and count any donations ourselves, and would of course let any donors know what the amount is.  If you would like to help us, please email us at    emcc@live.ie  or phone Ellen at 0868677244 . All contributions will be most welcome, and very gratefully received.

This has been an exceptionally busy year for us, with an exceptionally large number of people asking us to help with cats and kittens in their gardens or under their sheds.  While we
always  try to do what we can, sometimes we simply cannot help because we do not have the people, money, or  foster places needed. This is also the time when fewer people are looking for cats and kittens so re-homing is slower.

We neuter every adult cat we take in, and all kittens are vaccinated as soon as they are old enough (9 weeks generally)   All cats and kittens are treated for worms and fleas.

In spite of the favorable rates changed by a number of veterinary practices, our vet bills for August were almost 5,000 euro and we need to raise this money if we are to continue our work.   As it is, our volunteers pay for food, litter, phones, petrol, and other costs from their own pockets, but we cannot pay the huge veterinary costs as well.

We would be most grateful for any help in our fund raising efforts.  We would appreciate any gifts of money or food for the cats and kittens we have, as funding is very tight at present. If anyone would like to hold a coffee morning, car boot sale, or other fund raiser for us, or donate jars of coins, or old currency, we would also be delighted and very grateful.
